   Administration Assistant Megan Wells started with the Bardstown Police Department in 2004 as a dispatcher for the Bardstown Police Department, Bardstown Fire Dept and the Nelson County Sheriff Dept. When the Nelson County 911 Dispatch Center was formed in December 2007 she worked as a dispatcher for Nelson County’s Police, Fire and EMS and as the LINK/NCIC Terminal Agency Coordinator. In August 2012 she returned to the Bardstown Police Department as the Administrative Assistant. Her office is the contact point for the public during regular office hours - Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM. She manages the records section and functions as the LINK/NCIC Terminal Agency Coordinator. She also is responsible for files in the records section including accident reports, case files, citations, incident reports, etc. She also assists the Detectives and Officers with investigations by use of the LINK/NCIC files, the driver’s license files - including photos, vehicle registrations, warrant checks, etc. Megan has an Associates Degree in Applied Science-Law Enforcement.
